If you have not had the pleasure of tasting Toasted Coconut Porter on draught yet, then you need better friends, but thanks to Tom TCP has come down from the mountain to visit you right in your refrigerator. Just like OBP, it bottles deliciously and takes on some different sweet and slightly smokey characteristics in its new habitat, so for all those who have loved it thus far, do enjoy the new form. No seriously, go buy a case.

Now for some video news…

Nick Nardone Pedal Reviews featuring \”Get Along\” solo at outro

Fantastic in depth review of one of his favorite mainstays on his board. For sure worth checking out and he does feature “Get Along” at the end of the video. Support Buffalo Family.

As for my pedal board, DC Pedals are still taking it over Risk-style, and the others are ready to surrender as well. A very necessary video blog will need to happen soon demonstrating these monsters, and he’s got a few mods in mind that are real game changers. ”DougThePedalGuru4Lyfe” is in line to be my first face tattoo.

Been doing quite a bit of traveling recently, within the confines of voluntarily being under Mouse arrest (show is going great! come visit Stephen, Eric, Kevin and me at Epcot anytime). Spent early January with Mrs. Buffalo Gun up in Atlanta strictly for culinary endeavors (haven’t had fried chicken and waffles since Beale Street Music Festival in May, and Fat Matt’s Ribs are unreal, thanks Dawn and Ryan).

Another Chiefland trip has also come and gone (Dough, the 1911 is shooting like a dream and currently clean as a whistle), and two squirrels and hundreds of rounds later, we find ourselves back in Orlando. I know what you’re thinking, but fret not…no innocent animals were harmed during the trip*. And sleep sound, young activist, as natural order has been restored.

Heading to Colorado on the 1st of February for a week of Rocky Mountain goodness. If you’re in Summit County, swing on over to Keystone for a bit. Gonna hit the Keystone Winter Bluegrass Festival and all that Summit County has to offer. Once back in town, it’s time to get Ugly.

*”There is no such thing as an innocent (or guilty) animal, only delicious or pet.”

-Buffalo Planet Constitution

From the mountains of Tennessee whilst enjoying a quick recovery week from nonstop rock n roll, Buffalo Gun was on my mind, dear to my heart and still eating my soul, and you and I need to be on the same (web)page. That was three weeks ago.

Despite what national security would like to believe, Buffalo Gun has never been more heavily armed and ready. Our alumni list has grown rapidly over the past years and I am very excited to call some wonderfully familiar faces to stages near you very soon. My pedal board has changed its lifestyle thanks to Doug the Pedal Guru (DCO = greatest overdrive pedal…EvEr! More on that later) and the Dr Z is still screaming for vengeance.

As I have stated before and must be quoted again saying…I LOVE being a musician in Orlando.

Stephen and I have both been spending most of our days and nights entertaining the masses at Epcot’s UK pavilion with British Revolution, a show spearheaded by Brother Entertainment. I absolutely love the show, am very proud to be a part of it and eat up every minute. We are fortunate to share the stage with two of Orlando’s finest: Eric Van Lugo of Social Ghost fame, and Kevin Nayme of Everyday Things. This opportunity has been keeping us going nonstop and full time since May, hence the halt. However, with Epcot’s Food and Wine festival at the end of this month, you have the absolute best excuse to come on by and check out the show. For more info, check out facebook.com/britrev.

That’s the skinny. Mark my words: Buffalo Gun makes me happier than a fat kid at a water park. I cannot wait to get this next album down. And I do really really REALLY appreciate all the recent comments regarding how much you all miss seeing the Gun live. I can’t wait to play your faces ugly.

And So Begins the Blogging Lifestyle Once Again…

Well, I’ll tell you what…I love being a musician here in Orlando. The weather is amazing right now, and I’ve been really fortunate to be working with some fantastic people. While not all of it has been Buffalo-related, I do Buffalo-appreciate it.

Yet another wonderful addition to my pedalboard thanks to Doug the PedalGuru (unregistered trademark). This guy…tone for days, pedals for life (unregistered copyright). Also, tone-related…had BirdDog Bobby tune up the 6545 so she is raring to go.

Still getting the Ugly situated before getting back into the show grind. As you anxiously await it, we’ll be ruthlessly creating it, so hold tight young Bucky.

After thinking a long time about it, we’ve decided to change the name of the album from The Ugly to Chinese Democracy.

After listening to Chinese Democracy, we’ve decided to stick with The Ugly.

The good news is after hibernation comes animal-size hunger, so we will be eating rock and roll in American-sized portions in no time. For now, we eagerly await.

Next update next week with news on shows and more.

I love Buffalo Gun because it sounds good n loud.

We and DeLand had a merry New Years Eve gathering where OBP did everyone right. I LOVED being on the outdoor stage at DaVinci, and we played one eff of a party. Thanks to Steve, Parks and the Nard Dawg for making 2010 just a little louder than 2011 expected, and Orange Blossom Pilsner for providing the true entertainment that evening. DeLand never looked so good…

Recording The Ugly is what must be done, and now.

Here’s a fun fact! Just got a new pedal via Doug PedalGuru, an unofficial nickname for an officially amazing guy. This man is going to change the audible face of my guitar tone one stomp at a time, and this first box is certainly clearing the drives on my board. Expect much much more to come from Doug, my new best sonic friend.

Harken thine ears, o Viedo
Sharpen thine axes, young and old
The Ugly will be upon us shortly
And we will merrily break bread and guitars

Next update will include our epic return to Orlando and the next HUGE step in BuffaloGunDom.

If you haven’t gone down to see Luminescence 2010 at Gaylord Palms, then your faces are still in tact and eyes have not seen fingers break the sound barrier. And now for the good news…it’s still happening! Come check out “Dirrty Craig” Smith from “Dirrty Hairy” or myself (sadly on opposite days) for a fantastic Trans-Syberian-esque buffet of awesome. Seriously fun show with more talent than you can fit in one giant atrium.

Now for the gun powder.

We have shows out the chimney for this December, starting with an amazingly themed holiday show THIS SATURDAY. On December 11th at the Copper Rocket in Maitland, Buffalo Gun and Skyline Underground will be throwing a fantastic party, and we need you there to catch it.

Now for the theme (instructions included):

SU’s frands (friends+fans=frands) will be dressed in their ugly holiday knits while Buffalo Soldiers will be celebrating a redneck Christmas. This is a friendly competition, and those ready to participate Southern-style will reap the rewards. Buffalo Gun will provide a soundtrack awesome enough to finally pop the question to your first cousin. Ladies, bring your babies, in utero or otherwise, and guys, fight the weather in style with your NASCAR jacket.

Wear An Outfit that Celebrates like this.

Here are the other two shows we have scheduled this month:

December 18th Shea’s in Mt Dora – Buffalo Gun rides again with 22Blaac and SugarFree plus 20WT
Decemeber 31st – OBP presents Buffalo Gun at DaVinci in Deland – The Ringer For the New Year

More on these events next entry. But for now, tattoo your calendars and be ready for rock to force that egg nog right back up.

pardon the captain obvious title. I am just grateful.

Looking back on the past month, I’m really proud to be doing what I’m doing. First and foremost, I love being a musician. Secondly, shows are my favorite thing to do, and we’ve had some great ones. Finally, I’m reminded of how important it is that people are having a great time because Buffalo Gun exists. Time to make more friends.

Midnight Madness was absolutely unbelievable. I can’t believe what a great crowd Deerfield Beach puts together. No serious injuries to report, but I must say it looked like someone might end up dead. We’ve got the video to prove it. Thanks to everyone at Island Water Sports and especially Nick Nardone, who did so much to make that event the best ever. And also, a special shout out to Sonny from P.O.D. for introducing us. That was such an honor.

Havoc at the Hammock was also an amazing success (Nardone, thanks for driving up and wearing the Kick Ass costume, literally). I think this blog is mainly filled up with entries that say how good Floodwork is, so let this be no exception. They are great. And Mr. Parks certainly stole the show by playing in every set of the night, regardless of the band. Meryl and Black Hammock did a great job spookifying the Lazy Gator bar, and we did plenty to rough the waters of Lake Jessup. The costumes were amazing, and this Centaur-dressed performer enjoyed the night even more than you did. Well, almost…you did get to see “Bikini Boneyard” and I only got to play it. I really appreciate how many people came out that night. Another awesome Fluffalo Gun endeavor.

Coming up on November 21st we’re playing the Adeste CD release party at Backbooth with some fantastic bands. I’m very proud of the work and awesomeness that those guys put into their new album, and I highly suggest you give it a listen and a purchase. It’s arpeggio-riffic.

You can also see me playing lead guitar in “Luminescence” at the Gaylord Palms this year Thanksgiving weekend through the end of the year. Tis the season to be shredding.

Here we go again…again.
It has been one year since the most epic show of Buffalo Gun history, and we are bringing out the big guns for this monstrous occasion. Midnight Madness is very similar to my birthday, the only difference being an extra thousand of my closest friends. As I mentioned before, the lineup is unbelievable:

Darkhorse Saloon

BLORR

Buffalo Gun

Alexander

This show is why we make the music we do. We’re playing with bands we know, love and admire, and we’re supporting one of the flagship businesses of the Southeast Coast of the Sunshine State. There will be a skatepark, halfpipe, pro skaters and demos all day and night, not to mention the booths and amazing deals you can get there. I bought my first surfboard at Midnight Madness 2003 and haven’t looked back since. The salt air welcomes my vocal chords and screams for me to remove my outer layers. My epidermis will be showing by the end of the set. Guaranteed.

If you are in South Florida or anywhere close, you really shouldn’t miss this. And I’m not just saying that. Seriously I have no clue why you would not be there.

I can’t wait to post some videos of things to come. See you at Island Water Sports in Deerfield Beach in a little bit.

Keep an eye on the shows section, as it is a growing boy.

Here’s the best news ever for anyone within driving distance to South FL. MIDNIGHT MADNESS IS ONLY TWO SHORT WEEKS AWAY!

As I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, this was THE best Buffalo Gun show of 2009 and you have no idea how much bigger we’re going this year. The set will be unstoppable, bones will be irreparable and ears and eyes will witness signs and wonders. And we’ll break crap.

I am also pleased as punch to announce HAVOC AT THE HAMMOCK. This is the place to be on October 28th. I’ve been wanting to do an awesome show at Black Hammock in Oviedo for a long time and God smiled upon this special Thursday. There is no question your costumes need to be making their first appearance of the season, and you most certainly have to be ready for Buffalo Gun and Floodwork to rock that costume off you by the end of the night. Please draw a digital Buffalo Ghost on your iCal for 8:30pm on OctoThurs2ate.

I’m putting our Fall and Winter lineups together, and we wanna visit with ya in your home town, so make sure you keep checking our show schedule, as it will be getting very fat with fun. Put your ear to the ground and you can hear how uncomfortably close we are to your hometown.

Watch for new videos coming up throughout this month, and perhaps some sneak peeks at the new album. Next entry sooner than later.
